Kids
Whatever their interests, younger visitors to Ayrshire and the Isle of Arran will have heaps to do.Is it to be a day of exploration and adventure at the local country parks, farms and nature trails? What about time travel, back to the Viking raids at Largs, or the industrial revolution at the Dunaskin Centre, or to explore Scotland's most famous poet, Robert Burns, and how he lived? Younger children have plenty of fun to choose from - from soft play centres to adventure playgrounds at the country parks, and from farm parks to the Theme Park at Loudoun Castle. There are leisure centres, like the Magnum in Irvine, which have swimming pools with flumes and slides - some of the biggest in Europe - and ice skating at the Centrum in Prestwick. Everyone loves the seaside, and if you get a chance, don't go past the world famous ice creams at Nardini's in Largs.
